Our Story
The RI Coalition for Elder Justice (RICEJ) is a partnership among victim service agencies, senior service agencies, community groups, advocacy groups, law enforcement, and state and federal agencies. We were founded in 2020 as part of the Enhanced Training and Services to End Abuse Later in Life grant awarded to Saint Elizabeth Community by the DOJ Office on Violence Against Women.
Our vision is a Rhode Island where vulnerable adults are valued and protected from abuse, neglect and exploitation.
Our mission
Our mission is to create an effective community coordinated response to the abuse of older adults. We work to enhance services and safety for older adults, strengthen the criminal justice response to elder abuse, educate the workforce, and engage the community.
